Why isn't my web page updating when I have made changes in the template

RE: Template

Hi Samina,

The way Dreamweaver templates work is: you update a local template file, which in turn makes local changes to all files attached to the template.

Once you've done this step, open a local file that you know should have been updated, and check the template changes are reflected in the file.

If this step HASN'T worked go to Modify -> Templates -> Update pages... Change 'look in' drop down box to 'Files that use', then select your template from the second drop-down box. Click 'start' to update all local files that use that template.

Once this is complete (you should see report showing how many pages were updated), you then need to upload every file that has been changed to your hosting server so that the changes are uploaded.

Ensure you refresh the page in your browser, too.

Please get back to me if the above still doesn't solve your problem.

Regards, Rich
