Working with charts

can i create my own chart type?

RE: working with charts

Dear Daniela

Thank you for attending PowerPoint 2007 Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Yes you can create your own chart template that you can save in PowerPoint or Excel and then use that next time when you want to create a chart for the new data.

Please follow these steps:

1. Create a chart as normal

2. Then insert a Logo or change the background colour or the fill colour of the series, etc... to customized the chart to your preference.

3. On the Charts Contextualized tab in the Design tab click on the save as Template.

4. In the save Chart template dialog box give the name of your choice and then press Save.

5. In the future when you want to create a new chart from the template. Simply click on the Charts button. Choose the Template folder and you should be able to see the chart you created choose it and then press OK.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

PowerPoint tip:

Saving a Drawn Object as a picture

If you want to reuse an object that you have drawn, you can save it so that it is added to the Clip Organiser.
Right click the object, choose Save as Picture, give it a file name and place it in the relevant location.
