Can we design one of our own milestone markers for timelines like we can fr templates in flow charts

In general, I would say that the milestone markers are intelligent shapes that have behaviors that are fairly complex.
this means that modifying the default settings could result in unknown results.
At a highly advanced level of Visio, you can modify all the elements and behaviors of shapes using something called a ShapeSheet. We do not cover this on our most advanced courses, as the detail is deeply technical.
