How do I eddit the legend bar

RE: micrsoft project

Hi Edward

You can make basic changes to the Legend by going to file > page setup > legend (this lets you turn the legend off or on for example)

If you want to control what appears in the legend you need to goto Format > Bar Styles. This is where the formatting rules for Project are stored. Each item listed will appear in the Legend. Changing the formats here controls both the way the item will appear in your project and also how that item will apear in the Legend (make a backup of your Project before making changes). If there is a format that you want to keep in your Project but not have it displayed in the Legend modify its name so it begins with an asterisk (e.g. *Rolled Up Task).

I hope this is helpful - let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Project 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Project 2010 as well as Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
