Project progress

How does the project manager ensure that tasks are delivered on time without slippage. Also how does the manager avoid having to spend all the time chasing instead of doing more of the project planning?

RE: Project progress

Hi Pauline

Thanks for your questions. MS Project can help you to some degree by quickly producing task and todo list reports for your team. Using the tracking gantt view once the baseline has been saved should also produce a helpful print-out to focus on progress and slippage as well as crtitical tasks.

I hope this is helpful - do let us know if you have any other questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Inserting Task Durations Quickly

When entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day.
