Changing Visio shapes

If you have several shapes of the same type in a drawing (for example 5 circles), is it possible to change those 5 circles to 5 rectangles, without having to delete the circles and drag on the rectangles?

Thanks

RE: Changing Visio shapes

Hello Jane

Thank you for your question.

As Visio shapes are complex and made up of many components, it is not possible in most cases to change shapes from their current shape to a different one.

The only shape that I am aware of that you can change easily once you have put it into the diagram is the Flowchart Shapes shape which is available in the Basic Flowchart Shapes stencil.

If you drag the Flowchart Shapes shape onto your diagram, you can right-click and choose to change the shape to a decision, process or document shape (or back to a process shape).
