RE: Merge documents
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for your question.
If you have two similar documents and wish to compare and merge the differences, you may find the function under TOOLS menu.
Open one document first, select TOOLS menu > choose Compare and Merge Documents > select the 2nd document > press MERGE button. Choose your preference on which document format to keep.
Word 2003 will highlight any differences and you need to go through each point to either accept or reject the differences. Upon completion, choose "Final" on the drop down box on the Reviewing toolbar. Save it as a new document.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,

RE: Word- Comparing and Merging Documents
Dear Michelle
Thank you for attending Word Intermediate course. I hope you enjoyed the course and have already started implementing the new topics in your day to day work.
There is a feature called compare and merge documents. This feature allows you to compare two or more documents and then accept or reject the changes.
Step 1: Open the original file that you'd like to merge all the changes.
Step 2: Choose Tools> compare and merge documents...
Step 3: Choose the file that you want to compare and merge in the dialog box.
If you don't want the file to open in a new window then on the bottom right corner click on arrow next to the merge button and choose merge into current document.
