how do i set up conditional formatting?
RE: Excel
format - conditional formatting...
then select the condition and alter the format you need.
RE: Excel
Hi Lisa
Thank you for your question.
I thought it best to expand a little on the initial reply you received. The purpose of using conditional formatting is so that you can set conditions or criteria for a cell or cell range, and when any of the conditions/criteria you set are met, the cell or cells will automatically change their format as specified by you.
You can apply conditional formatting by:
1. selecting the cell/s you wish to apply this to
2. go to Format - Conditional formatting
3. set your criteria/conditions - you can have up to three separate conditions for the same cell/s
4. for each criteria, click the Format... button to choose the formatting you wish to have applied if the criteria is met by the content of the cell/s you have selected.
5. click OK when finished.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
