Uploading

how do I upload a PDF file onto the website?

RE: uploading

Hi Edward

This is generally done by uploading the pdf files to your web hosting space, in the same way that you upload a web page. The to access the pdf file you just link to it from one of your other pages, then the user will have the option to either save or open it when they click the link.

It may also be a good idea just to remind users that that must a a pdf reader such as Acrobat installed.

Hope this helps
David

Dreamweaver tip:

JumpMenu in new window

When inserting a jumpmenu to a page, the only option available for 'open in' is usually 'main window'. There would be other options available if the page was a frameset.

To change the jumpmenu to open in a new window, change the target parameter of the selectbox in your code to 'window.open()'.

eg.

<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('window.open()',this,0)">
