Resources

How do I set up a group of people, such as 'decorators'?

RE: Resources

Hi Chris

Thanks for your question - when you create a work resource you decide whether that resource is a named individual, a generic role or a team. For a resource that is in fact made of of several people you can set the max units value to more than 100%. For example for a resource called technician that represents a team of 3 you could set the units to 300%

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

RE: Resources

Hi Andrew.
Let us say I have 2 named individuals working separately on 2 different issues.
Can I record how much they have actually done against their target allocation for the issue?
Thanks, Chris

RE: Resources

Hi Chris

Yes you can be specific about the actual work each resource completed. Go the the Resource Usage view and from there you will see your project organised by resources and the tasks they are assigned to complete. From the format menu choose Details then Actual Work. You can then enter actuals for your resources.

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

RE: Resources

PS Your system seems slightly confused as my question was not about decorators... maybe there is another chris?

My question was about recording work done

RE: Resources

Chris,

Your questions appear here.

It appears you have asked two questions. This is fine; ask as many as you like!

The first question is about resources (this one i'm replying to) and the second about time records (yet to be answered).

If you think someone else has been using your account to post questions, please let us know by replying to this post so we can reset your password. Alternatively, change your password from your delegate account screen.
