Slicers in Excel

I have a slicer in an excel sheet and i want to lock it in position much like you would do by freeze pane so that if you scroll down it will always be there to view and select

RE: Slicers in Excel

Hello Sinead,

Thank you for your question.

Slicers in Excel don't have the option to make them 'hover' in view while you scroll through the spreadsheet. What I would suggest is to create a freeze pane (vertical and horizontal) and to place the slicer above and to the left of it.

To prevent the frozen section from being too big, you can resize the slicer to be thinner and set it to have two or more columns of buttons.

You can do this by going to the Slicer ribbon and setting the number of columns to 2 or 3.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
