Re-arranging links in date order
Hi - thanks for a great training session.
My links running down the page in the Gantt Chart run up due to them being out of date order. How can I rearrange tasks so that my Gantt chart run down the page in sequencial order?
Thanks
RE: Re-arranging links in date order
Hi Carey
A fast way to sort your tasks in the Gantt chart is to right click on a column header and from the context menu choose sort by.
The dialogue box that appears gives you the ability to sort your tasks by up to three of your table fields.
Hope this is helpful - if you have any further questions please do let us know.
Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:Typing Links Between TasksIn the Entry table, use the Precessors column to type in links. Type the previous task's ID to link. To change the link, add FS (Finish-Start), FF (Finish-Finish), and so on, and + duration to add a Lag, or - duration for a Lead time. Example: for task 5, 4FS+1w ... task 4 preceeds task 5, finish to start, with a week lag between. |
