CAN A CLCKER OPERATE THE ACTIONS BUTTONS?
RE: laser pen
Hello Alan,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft PowerPoint Intermediate Advanced course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding whether a laser pen can be used to activate actions buttons located on a slide.
I researched this and found that a laser pen will not activate an action button on a slide. Here is a comment made by a user of the Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer:
"NOTE: The device is only for advancing and reversing slides. IT HAS NO CAPACITY TO WORK WITHIN THE SLIDE. Therefore, if you have inserted a video or need to activate elements within the slide, it will not work. It has no capacity to address elements within the slide. For Powerpoint with elements like music, video or moving charts...it won't work. It will only advance the slide."
This does not mean that there isn't another laser pen that will be able to activate action buttons.
You would have to do considerable research to find one that did!
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.

Rodney

RE: laser pen
Hello Rodney,
Had a great day on the course on the 10th June. Thank you for all your teaching, patience, and additional training. Even though we were dealing with PowerPoint 2007, there was still much to learn, and I'm sure all the others were as amazed as I was by just how many functions we had often seen the buttons for, but never actually used. I have been practising my new skills ever since - hence this delayed response.
They say "Don't mix business with pleasure" but the course was both. Nice people, a comfortable workplace, and a good learning environment. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend it to anyone else.
Thanks again,
Alan
P.S. Can clickers activate action buttons? (Just kiddin')
