Hyperlinks against tasks / project
Hello, Can I add a hyperlink from a task to another document / website?
Or a hyperlink for the project somewhere - i.e. to the business case saved in an seperate word document?
Thanks
Rachael
RE: Hyperlinks against tasks / project
Hello Rachael,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Intro Intermediate course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding working with hyperlinks.
First decide which task you would like to place the hyperlink to. Select the task, then right-click and choose the Hyperlink option at the bottom of the menu list. From the Insert Hyperlink dialogue box select whichever option you require on the left hand side. If you wish to link to a web site simply enter the full address into the address box near the bottom of the dialogue box. Then click OK.
To link to a another application such as a Word document, you need to browse to the file, then after selecting the file click the OK button to complete the action.
You will find that Project has now placed a Hyperlink icon into the Indicators column. Simply click the icon, accept the message that appears and then the file will automatically be opened.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Rodney

MS Project tip:Compare Work and DurationDuration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field. |
