SIGNATURE ON OUTLOOK 03

Hello,

I use outlook 03
I have created a signature option/mail format....
I have turned signature for new message to <none>

Problem when i write a new email .... i would have assumed
that i could have inserted the signature.
In the mail itself under the insert menu i cannot find signature

in an untitled message i have tried to customise the insert
menu but cannot find signature ....
tools/cutomise/commands /insert ..... no signature in right hand side

Thank you for help

RE: SIGNATURE ON OUTLOOK 03

Hello Eric,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel courses with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding signatures on Outlook 2003.

Since you have selected <none> as your signature... then you won't find the signature that you created. The point of creating a signature is to make it available for all new mail that you create.

If you would rather create new mail without a signature and then be able to apply a signature after, then create a new new signature and call it Blank. Do not enter anything in the signature box and make this the default. When you start up a new mail, right click in the message box area and you will see a list of available signatures. Select the appropriate one and you are done!

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

RE: SIGNATURE ON OUTLOOK 03

Hello Rodney,

I have tried your suggestion.
I am ok in creating a signature.
The only problem is that in a blank mesage i cannot see the signature .I right click in the new message and cannotr see any signatgure.I tried to insert in the insert menu and cannot see "signature" ...I tried to add signature going in tool/customize/commands/insert ...but signature is not available...

I do not want a signature in each new mesage .I just want to be able to add it when i need it.

Hope you can help

Eric

RE: SIGNATURE ON OUTLOOK 03

Hello Eric,

Try one more thing... after creating a signature called 'Blank' without any text in the signature area, create another signature called 'Default' and put some generic text into the signature area, such as ABC and make this your default signature for new email.

Then when you create a new email, the ABC will appear and then right-click on this text. You should now see all other signatures in a drop-down list. Click the signature you require... Blank for no signature etc.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
