MS Project 2007
I have created a MSProject template and within that there are a number of custome fields with LookUp values. When I copy these custom fields into the Global.mpt the values do not transfer. This used to work fine in MSProject 2003. Please can you assist as I have a number of plans in situ for which I need to add these custome fields to and cannot recreate them from scratch nor add 10 custom fields with values into each one.
I have also tried to import the values from the template and that too does not work
Help much appreciated

RE: MS Project 2007
Hi Parul,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Intro/Intermediate course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding custom fields in Project 2007.
There is a bit of a problem when adding custom text fields with lookup values into the Global.MPT file as the values seem to disappear. I have tried the same exercise as you, however, I had no problem importing the values from a file that already had the custom fields and lookup values. Try this again making sure that you have the two files open in project.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.

MS Project tip:Inserting Task Durations QuicklyWhen entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day. |
