Uploading Problem

Hello,

I have been making a change to an index page and trying to upload it to the remote server, it does transfer as i can see the date and time of the page when it is transfered.

The problem i have is that the old page is still displaying and not the new one.

I tried deleting it from the remote server first and uploading it again, bu the same thing.....

Any ideas why?

thanks
gavin

Try clearing temporary internet files, history or force refresh

Hi Gavin,

Sounds like it could be your local cache is remembering the old version.

First try refreshing using Shift+F5 or Control+F5 as this is supposed to force a refresh of the cache.

Then, try removing all your temporary internet files and clearing your history.

In internet explorer, this is in Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab -> Browsing history -> Delete button.

In firefox, this is in Tools -> Options -> Privacy section.

Let me know how you go. If this solves your problem, please mark this question as resolved.

Regards, Rich
