Concatenation and new rows

Hi all,

I have n. spreadsheets with the same table of 10 rows that represent n. companies. These companies report their P&L (Profit and Loss) in the same order. If the n+1 company reports a new voice in the P&L between the row 5 and 6 I would like to add this new items in all my previous spreadsheets so that the new table will be now of 11 rows for everyone. I hope this make sense.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

RE: Concatenation and new rows

Hi Alex

Thank you for your question regarding adding new rows to a number of worksheets.

The best way to achieve this is to:

- Firstly group the sheets you want to add the new row to i.e if sheet 1 to sheet 5, select sheet 5, hold down the shift key and then select sheet 1 (this will select all the worksheets in between)

- On sheet 5 (the latest worksheet) insert a new row between row 5 & 6, entering the relevant info.

Check the previous worksheets, the new row should have been added to all datasets.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

Excel tip:

Screen Splitters in Excel

Screen splitter icons can be set from the ribbon bar, or dragged from the scroll bars. The icon just above the up arrow on the right scroll bar controls the horizontal splitter; the icon to the right of the right arrow on the bottom scroll bar controls the vertical splitter.

These icons can be double-clicked to split the screen at the top left of the cell currently in use.
