Is there an easier way to change the task durations in my current plan from weeks/months to days without changing it individually?

Thanks for your question. Yes there is, it will save you a lot of time.
There is a macro that ships with Project designed to change all durations to the unit you prefer.
If you go to Tools > Macro > Macros highlight the Format_Duration macro and click run. It will ask you what duration you want to use and re-format all the task durations to the unit you selected.
