Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.
The worksheet of data that the Pivot table is to be based on must be arranged in columns with field headings.
Go to Data and then Pivot Table and Pivot Chart Report and follow the steps of the wizard through and on the last screen choose the Layout option to select which fields you need to use to analyse the data.
