I want to create a Client List in forms using a combo box, but when I use the wizard, I can select First Name and last name from another Table,( which I want to Link) , It will show First and last name in the drop down list, but selected it will only choose the first or last name ( not together). How can I link the first name and the Surname together in the same combo box.

RE: Forms

Hi Fiona

Thank you for your question

A combo box will only show one field when not selected.

If you need to see multiple details, I would suggest replacing your combo box with a list box. This will show multiple columns so you can see all the details you require displayed on the form. They can be set up using a wizard, or by writing an sql statement in exactly the same way as a combo box.

Stephen

Access tip:

Hiding Multiple Table columns

If you want to hide non-adjacent Access table columns. In Datasheet view, open the table that contains the columns you want to hide.

On the Format menu, click Unhide Columns.
In the Unhide Columns dialog box, clear the check box next to the name of each column you want to hide.
Click Close.

This method makes having to use the Hide Columns command repeatedly unnecessary
