When using VLOOKUP can I change the cell background colour once a condition is met?

RE: Database function

Dear Spencer

Thank you for attending Excel Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

I am not very clear about your query!!

You want to use the VLookup and depending on the value on the resulting cell you want it to change the background colour? But please remember that if you are using VLookup function the cell you set as your Lookup value is the condition. I am not sure why you would want to have the cell change background colour?

If you have an example that you can provide me then I would be interested in knowing about it.

Normally you use the Conditional formatting that allows your cells to change the formatting of the cell depending on the condition!!

Please provide me some example that I can relate to!!

Kindest Regards
