Splitting Databases
Is there a need to split the database if it will be webbased and accessed remotely from 9 sites.
RE: Splitting Databases
Hi Katherine
Thank you for your question. The purpose of the utility to split Access databases (Tools > Database Utilities > Database splitter) is to spread the operational load across two databases. The backend database will store the tables and the front end database focusses on users forms and queries.
With regard to web hosting it's hard to give a definitive answer. It will most likely depend on how the website interacts with your database and for that you need to talk to your website administrator.
Kind regards,
Andrew
