MS Project - Reports

I have made notes relating to many tasks in the "Notes" tab in "Task Information".

I would like to be able to print a report of the notes relating to each task for ease of use.

Is this possible and how do i do it.

Your earliest possible response would be greatly appreciated as i am in the middle of building a template and this will influence the level of detail in the plan.

Thanks in advance

RE: MS Project - Reports

Hi Jeff

Thank you for your question. Make sure you are in the Gantt Chart view. To switch on the printing of notes got to File > Page setup and click on the View tab. Put a check mark beside Print Notes. Now when you print the chart out you will also get a sheet with your notes. Each note will have the ID number of the task that it refers to.

I hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Set default task type - Project 2010

a. In Project, click on the File tab
b. Select Options from left hand side
c. Click on Schedule to set the scheduling options
d. Set the Default Task type box to your chosen option
i. Generally if you plan/estimate your projects using durations you should use fixed duration, and untick the box New tasks are effort driven, if you plan/estimate with person hours use fixed work, or for plans estimated with the proportion of resources time use fixed units, and untick the box New tasks are effort driven)
e. Click OK to apply your changes
