Can you change the background of the cells with a macro?

Thanks for the post - sorry for our late reply
This can be done very simply what you need to is start recording a macro make sure that you click the relative reference button on the recording macro toolbar
Then go to the format menu and select cell - go to the pattern tab then choose the colour for the cell - select OK
when you are finish doing that stop recording the macro and thats it
To run the macro on other cells go to the tools menu - macro then click the macro and click RUN
this should do the trick

Excel tip:Adding up time greater than 24 hoursWhen you add up time if it exceeds 24 hours i.e 27 hours appears as 03:00. Go to Format / Cells / Number / Custom. The format is hh:mm but if change it to [hh]:mm it will add up to the correct amount of hours. |
