Formulaes

How do i gain the knowledge to understand and comprehend formulaes functionality to a more advanced level ?

RE: formulaes- Advanced

Dear Sharmel

Thank you for attending Excel Intermediate!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

The question you asked is generic. Excel has been created keeping various business scenarios or situations. Therefore there are several inbuilt functions that Excel comes with. It is impossible for me to tell you about all the functions.

The best thing to do is refer to the following link to see what functions we cover in Advanced level :

https://www.stl-training.co.uk/excel-training-in-london-2003-advanced.php

If you come across any other function that you may need explanation then you can post it our forum and we can try to answer them for you.

For your reference I am attaching a excel file that has all the functions used in Excel with a brief explanation for each.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

Calculate difference between two times

For presenting the result in the standard time format (hours : minutes : seconds . Use the subtraction operator (-) to find the difference between times, and the TEXT function to format the returned value to text in a specific number format.

Hours never exceed 24, minutes never exceed 60, and seconds never exceed 60.

=TEXT(B2-A2,"h")
Hours between two times (4)

=TEXT(B2-A2,"h:mm")
Hours and minutes between two times (4:55)

=TEXT(B2-A2,"h:mm:ss")
Hours and seconds between two times (4:55:00)

Where B2 and A2 must hold the end time and start time respectively formatted as a time format
