Microsoft access - copying a form on our database to update for
In our access database we have a form that we use to store all the information required such as contact details etc of our service users as they apply to us. This form is known as our 'active form' on the database and is linked to the main database that stores all of the individual forms we enter.
However, the active form we are using for 2008 will end 31.10.08 and we require a new form, exactly the same as the 2008 form but in a separate file and dated 2009.
How can I copy this form, save it and use it as a 2009 active form/file on access ?
I would be grateful for an email or call regarding this matter in order to set this up before the end of this week.
Thank you for your time

RE: Microsoft access - copying a form on our database to update
Hi Lizanne
Thank you for your question
Can you clarify some points for me please.
1. Why will the active form end on the date specified?
2. Will the new form enter data into the same table/query as the old, or will it write to a new one? If the later, is the new table in the existing database or in a new one
Thanks
Stephen
RE: Microsoft access - copying a form on our database to update
Hi Stephen, sorry for the delay replying, i had a day off !
Our administration for this programme runs from 1/11 to 31/10 yearly. We begin the 2009 programme on 1/11/08 and this needs to be a new table. At present i have on my access system a form for contacts in a table for 2007 and one for 2008. if I run queries etc I can then be specific to that table year.
I am relatively new here and this work was done for us by an old employee. The information was not passed on to us as to how to copy this form and make a new table.
A further question on this, if I want to begin from scratch and set up a new formfor a separate contact base, how would I go about that ?
if you do have the option to contact me by phone I would be grateful, 01892 860207. I am due to begin the 2009 new contact base on the new form next monday, so I am a little concerned about time !!!
Thanks for your help
