Hello

How do you remove saved filters from the menu bar?

RE: Filters

Hi Collette

I have done some further testing and some of the filters (like Critical) can't be removed or renamed. Renaming the critical filter simply creates a copy of it - so you end up with two. Using Organizer to delete the Critical filter appears to work until it is selected from the menu, when the filter is created again. Looks like built in filters can't be removed from the menu.

On the other hand to remove a filter you created from the menu go to Project > Filtered for > More filters and choose the filter you want to remove from the menu. Click edit and make sure the "show in menu" tick box is deselected.

Hope this helps - all the best with Project.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Thank you Andrew

MS Project tip:

Autofit column width – Project (all versions)

At the top of the columns where each column name is located (Task Name, Duration, etc.), hover over the vertical column line which you want to move.

A short bold vertical line will appear, with horizontal arrows pointing left and right.

Left click and hold this icon and it will permit you to grab the column line, allowing you to move it left or right to your desired location.
