RE: data transfer
Hi Lucy,
Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum.
Answer to your question:
If your word data is in the form of a table, then the transfer is quite simple, select the entire table (or part of) and copy it.
In your Excel worksheet, select the start cell for your entry and click Paste, if you wish to apply other options try Paste Special and choose from the options available.
If your word data is purely text, you will have to import this as an object, by importing as an object will enable the edit option to be present (double click on the text box to edit it in Word). You can also click the Link check box which will ensure that any changes made to the original Word document will be reflected in your text box in Excel.
To insert the Word Document choose the Menu option, Insert>Object, Choose the tab Create From File and either enter the File path or Browse to navigate to the folder where it is located. Once you have your target document located, select it and click the Insert Button, click the Link tick box to capture any changes, and press OK.
The document will be inserted in a Text box which can be moved to your required location.
I hope that has answered your question, if so please click the resolved link, regards Pete
