When I go back to work remind me what needs to be carried out in preparation
RE: Microsoft Project
Hi Graham
Thank you for your question. In short, the following needs to be carried out to prepare your project environment
1. Set up the start date for the project. To do this click on Project - Project information and choose a start date
2. Set up you working time calandars by clicking on Tools-Change working time and editing the required base calendar. You can then set this as the project default calendar by clicking on Project-Project Information and selecting the base calendar in the calendar combo box
3. Finally, you need to click on Tools-Options-Calandar and set the start and end times as well as hours per day and hours per week to match the settings on your base calendar
Regards
Stephen

MS Project tip:Formatting Bar TextTo display notes or resource initials on the Gantt chart bars, choose Format, Bar Styles and the Text tab. Select the position you want to show the text i.e. Top or Inside etc, then choose the field name you are looking for from the drop down arrow. Type the first letter of the name to get quickly to the top of the letter range. Click OK. |
