If I start doing a formula in a cell but then change my mind and click out of it in a bit of a panic rather than going to X I seem to get myself in all sorts of problems and can't seen to undo so that it returns to normal. What can I do in this situation to stop this and get back to where I was before I tried to enter the formula?
Thanks,
Corinne
RE: excel intermediate
Hi Corinne,
Thank you for your question.
The next time it happens just press the Escape key and then you can start again. Alternatively, click the red cross button at the beginning of the formula bar.
I hope this answers your question.

Excel tip:Adding up time greater than 24 hoursWhen you add up time if it exceeds 24 hours i.e 27 hours appears as 03:00. Go to Format / Cells / Number / Custom. The format is hh:mm but if change it to [hh]:mm it will add up to the correct amount of hours. |
