How do I link shapes?
RE: visio intro
Hi Heather
Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.
To link one shape to another in Visio:
1. Select the shape you wish to create the link to.
2. Right click the shape, and select Format - Special.
3. Highlight the name of the shape from the Name box and copy it (Ctrl + C); then Cancel out of the dialogue box.
4. Select the shape you want to create the link on.
5. Click Ctrl + K - this opens the Hyperlinks dialogue box.
6. In the Sub-address box, paste in the name of the shape that you copied before using Ctrl + V.
7. Click OK.
To use the hyperlink, right-click on the shape and click on the link at the top of the menu.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
