Calendar view

I have created the calendar view for a specific resource by using the filter to go to: Using resource... and then selecting the resource to use. Now I have the calendar I would like to be able to export it into outlook or any other type of document that i can edit it with. Is this possible? I am using MS Project 2007 on Windows Vista. I really look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Calendar view

Hi Emma

Thank you for your question

I am afraid it is not possible to export tasks into Outlook, without using Project Server. Project 2000 did have a"workgroup" feature that facilitated this, but it was withdrawn when Project 2003 came out.

About all you can do is copy the calendar into Word or Publisher.

Go to your calendar, and then click on the copy picture button on the toolbar. (It's icon is a camera)

If you then open word and click on paste, the calendar will then go into the document as a picture. You can then annotate it with text boxes, and add in other drawing objects such as arrows and pictures

Hope this answers your query

Stephen

RE: Calendar view

Thanks Stephen. I have been able to do that now but what we are really after is to be able to export it as a calendar to something and not as a picture. What is project server? Is that an add in that I would be able to get hold of?

Many thanks,

Emma

RE: Calendar view

Hi Emma

Project server is a development of microsoft project.

It is not just an addin, it is a central database where information about all projects is stored. Project Server stores custom calendars, in an Enterprise global area where users have access to the latest version every time they enter Microsoft Project.

We provide consultancy and training in its use. If you want further information, can I suggest you contact our sales support team on phone number.

I hope that's helpful.

Regards

Stephen
