Excel

Easiest way to reformat a spreadsheet when pasted into a word document

RE: Excel

Hi Jon

Well jon the first thing to consider is, is this spreadsheet linked to excel and the way to find out is if you double click on the spreadsheet object does it take out into excel. If it does then you can make all the changes through excel

But if not word will look at the spreadsheet as a word object you will then have to use the formatting stuff in word

If you have the excel spreadsheet still available then you could link it to word very easy as follows

in excel select the spreadsheet and then go to edit copy, then go to the word document click the place you need the spreadsheet to be linked, then go to the edit menu and choose paste special where you will be able to paste as link

try this and see how it inproves you formatting

Excel tip:

Enter formulae into multiple cells

If a formula is to be used in a series of cells, select the cells first. Now type in your formula and hold the Ctrl key while you press Enter. This enters the formula in each selected cell.

Just be careful with your absolute and relative cell references.
