Can I password protect an entire excel workbook folder?
RE: Excel
Hi Andrew, Thank your for the post, In answer to your question, you can password protect the entire workbook by following these steps.
Choose the option Save As, in the Save As dialog box, give the file a name, and select the type of file (ie workbook or template) At the top right of the dialog box there is an option called Tools with a drop down, click the drop down and choose the option General Options, you will open a dialog box which will allow you to set two passwords one to open the file and the second to modify. You can choose one or both, note you will have to verify the password you enter. From there, you will then save the file and the next time it is opened it will prompt for a password. Hope that helps, best regards Pete.
