Non-working time display in Gantt Chart
I have made a calendar where only Sat, Sun and Mon are working days and assigned it to a number of tasks within the project. However, the grey non-working bars in the Gantt chart are still just marked on Sat and Sun. Is there a way to correct this so the display in the Gantt chart reflects the amended calendar?
Best regards,
Michael
RE: Non-working time display in Gantt Chart
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question
To do this you must first make the calendar the default calendar for your project. This is done by clicking on the project menu, selecting project information and then selecting the appropriate calendar.
You must then set that as the calendar for the time scale. Click on the format menu and select timescale, and click on the Non-Working Time tab. You then select the appropriate calendar.
The GANTT chart will then reflect the correct working time.
Regards
Stephen

MS Project tip:Compare Work and DurationDuration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field. |
