Adding date range to a report / query

Could you please tell me the best way to add a date range when requesting a report or reviewing a query. I want to be able to select the start date and end date and for the report/query to provide the data based on the parameters.

Kind regards

Myriam

RE: Adding date range to a report / query

Hi Myriam

Thank you for your question.

If you open your query in design view and in the criteria row type the following

Between [Enter start date] and [Enter finish date]

The brackets must be the square ones.

This will then prompt you for a start and finish date when the query is run

Hope this does the trick

Regards

Stephen

Access tip:

Hide Access Tables

One method of stopping your Access tables appearing in Database window, is to rename the table(s) with the prefix usys.

This converts the table into a system object, which cannot be viewed in the Database window.

You can show system objects in the Database window by the following:

Step 1: On the Tools menu, click Options.
Step 2: Click the View tab.
Under Show, select the System Objects check box.
Click OK.
