Excel 2007 v's Excel 2003

If I create workbooks in Excel 2003 and a consolidation spreadsheet which consolidates all the workbooks, will this still work when we convert to Excel 2007? Are there any implications that I need to consider when converting to Excel 2007?

RE: Excel 2007 v's Excel 2003

Hi Katie,

Consolidations still work in version 2007. Just remember you can not use new 2007 files on a 2003 machine.

If you happen to save 2007 files as old versions, i.e. 97-2003 compatility format, you will lose 2007 features (e.g. design colour theme).

Take a look at this link to find your way in Excel 2007:

Katie

Excel tip:

Creating custom lists

In Excel if you type in January in a cell, you can then copy this cell to replicate Febraury, MArch, April etc.

This list has come from Tools- options and Custom lists.

Therefore to save time and create your own list you can click on New (in Tools and custom list tab) and type out the lsit that you want copied quickly.

All you have to do is then type in the 1st word and you will be able to copy the rest of the list quickly.
