Macros

we are told not to click the x on the macro button. What happens if we did this?

RE: macros

Hi Richard, Thank you for your post, I hope you have enjoyed the Holiday season, in answer to your question:
If during recording you click on the X button to close the Stop Recording toolbar, you do not Stop Recording the macro, all you have done is close the Toolbar, and this has become a part of your recording. You then have to stop recording by following the options Tools, Macro, Stop Recording. However the next time you wish to record a macro the macro toolbar will not appear automatically, causing you to have to open it from the View, Toolbars menu command, also being recorded as part of your macro, this will cause your macro to run incorrectly or fail. I hope that helps, best regards Pete

Excel tip:

Seeing named ranges as part of the zoom

If you have large areas of named ranges this works better.

If you zoom down to 39% you will see your named range.
