Hi,

I'm mostly ok inserting pictures into Excel sheets but I'm wondering if there is a way to embed them into the cell so I can perform a V-Lookup or simmillar calculation to pull it through to another worksheet?

For example, I work for a shoe company and we have a catalogue of Shoes. I produce various line reports for the company and would like to be able to easily link a cell in my reports to show an image of the line - say in a list of the weeks bestsellers etc?

Apologies if this question has already been answered, I couldn't see anything in the first few pages!

Many Thanks,

Stuart

RE: Images

I don't think it's possible without some hefty code

RE: Images

A database would be better suited for this type of application.

Regards, Rich

Excel tip:

Use the SUBTOTAL function in Excel

You can create subtotals in your spreadsheet using the SUBTOTAL function, which looks like this:

=SUBTOTAL(9,cell:cell)

9 represents the function being used (SUM), followed by the range of cells the function is operating on.

The neat thing about using the Subtotal function is that if you have used it several times in the same column or row, clicking on the AutoSum button at the end of the column or row will make Excel add only the results of cells containing the Subtotal function in that column or row.
