How do you show task description to chart
RE: Presentation of chart
Hi Patrick
thanks for your question - you can change the formatting options of project to draw field values beside their respective bars.
For example from the Format menu choose Bar Styles. The first item in the list is task. At the bottom of the dialog box switch to the text tab and click in one of the available slots. From the drop down list that appears choose the field that contains the value you are interested in and then OK. Those field values will now appear beside the bars on the Gantt chart.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Andrew

MS Project tip:Formatting Bar TextTo display notes or resource initials on the Gantt chart bars, choose Format, Bar Styles and the Text tab. Select the position you want to show the text i.e. Top or Inside etc, then choose the field name you are looking for from the drop down arrow. Type the first letter of the name to get quickly to the top of the letter range. Click OK. |
