Why not use automatic levelling?

RE: MS Projects

Hi Maureen,

The problem with automatic levelling is that it is not that powerful, and can completely alter the nature of your project without you knowing.

Automatic levelling tries to resolve resource overallocations by calculating task and assignment delays. Actual "Automatic Levelling" tries to do this as soon as you over allocate a resource. This can be very confusing and disruptive. You could run the levelling process manually. Here it would run only at the point you run the command. But even here it is probably better to solve the problems for yourself if you can. this way you keep control of the process, and always have a clear idea as to what is happening

Regards

Stephen
