What is the easiest way of remembering short cut commands when using Excel?

RE: Microsoft Excel

Hi Anne

Thank you for your question.

If you need a prompt to remember shortcut keys for commands you normally see displayed on a menu, e.g. the Edit menu for cut, copy or paste, select the menu that the command is found on. If there are any shortcut keys for that command they will be listed next to the command itself.

You can also get a complete list of all Excel shortcut keys you can look up keyboard shortcuts in Excel Help.
It would be impossible to remember all the shortcut keys that are available so perhaps pick the ones you will use most often and try to memorise those.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Excel tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
