Portable standalone version of linked table MS Access db
Hi there,
I have created a bid ms access database which is linked to lots of tables in oracle. This is fine and dandy while in the office.
However, there is now the need to take the database offsite in order to demonstrate its worth to a client. So, what is needed is a standalone version of the database that is fully populated. We will NOT need to add new data or amend data but WILL need to use queries and print reports.
Is there an easy way to achieve this?
Thanks
Frances
RE: portable standalone version of linked table MS Access db
Hi Frances.
As far as I know this is not possible. If it was just MS access that you were using, it would be fine. You may want to look at histing your access database on a web-server, then you should be able to link the two databases together. You can then create a web based interface for your access database. This will make it accessible anywhere.
Hope this helps
David
