I need to change the year and move monthly sales figures along in our monthly Budget Reports.
Is there a calculation/formula that can be used?
RE: Access
Hi David
If you are familiar with SQL, you could use SQL update to update all the information. If you are not familiar with SQL, I would suggest using a macro.
Hope this helps

RE: Access
Hi David,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it does not answer my question.
Please remember that I have done a beginners course. Therefore my knowledge is very limited.
What is a macro? This was not covered on the day.
What I don't understand is if I have a primary or index key already in the database why, when trying to save a form do I get the error message of " A primary or index number cannot be a null value"?
To use that well worn movie quote "Treat me like I'm a 3 year old" !
Look forward to your reply.
Regards

RE: Access
Hi David
For you to firstly understand the issue you are trying to fix and then to solve it, I would advise coming on our intermediate course and then the advanced course. What you are trying to achieve is fairly complex and I think this would be the best course of action for you.
Hope this helps
David
