how do i link workbooks

RE: links

Hi Jo

When you have both workbooks open, click in the cell in the main workbook (where you want the linked data to apear) within that cell, type an equals sign (=) and in the 2nd workbook, click the on the cell that you want to link to. THis will link the cell in the 2nd workbook to the one in the first workbook.

Hope this helps
David

Excel tip:

Autonumber in Excel

To create an autonumber field, can use the Offset() function.

In cell A1, enter the number 1.
Then in cell A2, enter this formula:

=OFFSET(A2,-1,0)+1

Then copy the formula from cell A2, down as far as you need.
