Auditing/ tracing
If using the tracing commands to investigate formulas in cells, if the formula refers to cells on other sheets than the one I am working on, how do I find out where on another sheet the origin is?
RE: auditing/ tracing
Hi Andrea
Thank you for your question.
What will happen when you use Trace Error where the cell in question refers to cell/s on other sheets, you will get a dashed line and a little spreadsheet icon appear on the spreadsheet. If you double-click at any point along the dashed line, the Go To dialogue box will appear on your screen listing the cells that are referred to in the formula so that you can select a cell reference from here and click OK to go to that cell and investigate what the problem might be.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
