Critical paths
How do i interpret what my critical path is?
RE: Critical paths
Hi Edna. Essentially the critical path (the red path in the Tracking Gantt view) is the longest time between project start and end date. Where there is a certain amount of "float", previous tasks can be rescheduled to eat into this without affecting the end date, while rescheduling those tasks with constraints and/or linked together without any float will impact on the end date. These tasks, then, form the critical path. Rescheduling them, reschedules your end date.
Hope this helps,
Anthony
