Can I reassign resources easily - example A project is delayed and I want to reassign contractors?
RE: Resources
Hi Jai
There are several ways of adding resources to your project. Probably the best way (as in most controlled and easy to update) is to go to the Resource Sheet and enter your work or material resources. This table lets you record not just the name of your resource but also costs associated with it.
Once the information is entered you can switch back to the Gantt chart and asign resources either by clicking on the asign resources button on the standard toolbar or split the screen (window > split) and enter your resource info using the form that appears. This method has the advantage of letting you apply or cancel your changes in a controlled way.

MS Project tip:Inserting Task Durations QuicklyWhen entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day. |
