What is the difference between a split screen and freeze frame?

Freeze pane will lock all rows to the left and columns above the cell you select before freezing. This effectively cretes borders or title areas that do not move when you scroll.

Split actually creates 4 windows that you can independantly scroll to various parts of the worksheet


 

Excel tip:

Move or Highlight Cells

Use any of your movement keys, cursor, Home, End, PgUp or PgDn to highlight cells rows or columns by holding down the Shift key as you move.

Use in combination with the Ctrl key for quicker movements.
